Toby Carswell is an experienced composer and arranger, whilst regularly performing on keyboards and lower brass.
OUR STORY
Good Yarns was born out of a passion to do things right. Long time collaborators Toby and Rhys had already spent years gigging the back rooms and basements of London together before frustration set in with patterns they were seeing over and over again. The function music world was rife with inauthentic, money-grabbing, careless agents that hogged all the gigs and took huge commission fees from the artists who barely made anything from their work. This de-incentivised the artists to give their best and frustrated everyone involved with confusing, indirect communication.
So how to fix these problems? How do you put on great shows for great clients and simplify the process along the way? Using the networks that they’d developed in their professional careers, they knew so many incredible musicians that were working their pants off to put on great shows. It was simply a matter of platforming those musicians and putting them in touch with wonderful clients. Voilá, Good Yarns Productions is born.
Because the founders are musicians themselves they know exactly what is needed to run great shows; this ship is efficient and nothing is ever wasted. With our small and incredibly talented (seriously, some of these guys & gals are ridiculously good) pool of artists we are able to call up the perfect, authentic musical fit for a huge variety of events. We are proud of what we have built here at Good Yarns and you can put your faith in us to know exactly what it takes to put on an awesome show, every single time.
